Jewish Alliance of Greater RI Names Greenman President

The Jewish Alliance of Greater Rhode Island named Adam Greenman as its next President & Chief Executive Officer. Greenman's appointment goes into effect on August 1, 2017. 

“This is an enormous opportunity for the Alliance and the greater Rhode Island Jewish community. Adam will be tasked with championing the Alliance’s mandate to inspire, connect, educate and support Jews locally, in Israel, and around the world,” said Sharon Gaines, Chair of the CEO Search Committee. 

He will be the second person to hold this position at the Jewish Alliance.

Adam Greenman 

Greenman served as Executive Vice President at United Way of Rhode Island providing leadership in areas like public policy, fundraising, and communications, and prior to that he served as Executive Director of the Rhode Island Afterschool Plus Alliance. 

He received his Masters of Public Administration from Rutgers University, and Ed. D., in Educational Leadership from Northeastern University. 

In 2016 he received the distinction of being named one of Providence Business News’ 40 Under 40, which recognizes recipients for excelling in their chosen professions and being involved in their communities. 

Other honors include the 2013 Youth Development Champion Award presented by the Greater Providence YMCA and the 2011 Men Who Make A Difference Award, presented by Women’s Resource Center of Newport County.
