The victim reportedly told police that while he was in vehicle on Memorial Boulevard after leaving Providence Place Mall, a man in another car pointed what appeared to be a firearm toward him.

The victim, who was able to provide a description of the vehicle to police, spoke with detectives but declined to press charges.

Based on the vehicle description, police were then on the lookout for the suspect’s vehicle — a Honda bearing Connecticut plates.

A short time later, police located the Honda matching the description on Eddy Street, where they conducted a search of the vehicle and found what they said was a replica of a BB gun inside the car.

According to police, the replica gun was confiscated and placed in police possession.

The suspect was released after the stop, as police noted the victim did not want to press charges.
