First responders were called to a car crash into a building on College Hill in Providence on Columbus Day.

The incident occurred at approximately 8:30 PM on Monday night.

The vehicle hit the building on the Planet Street side, a block off of South Main.

As GoLocal first reported this week, Marc Streisand of Marc Allen Clothiers announced he had just purchased the building — including the adjacent former Cable Car cinema.

Multiple emergency response units were on the scene Monday night.

Authorities are currently investigating.
