Robbery and Assault at Providence Hotel Reported

Providence police responded to a report of a robbery at a hotel in the city. 

Shortly after midnight on Friday, police were dispatched to the Hilton Hotel at 21 Atwells Avenue for a report of an assault. 

Upon arrival police were met by a hotel manager who stated guests that were staying in one of the hotel's rooms were assaulted and some of their items were taken.

Police spoke with a subject who stated that he, his sister, and his friend were awaken when three adult black males entered their room. 

The subject stated the males took his Play Station 4 remote controls, Nike Sweatshirt, Red and Black Slippers, while his sister stated her Jordan 12 white and grey sneakers valued at $145 were taken. 

The friend stated he sustained a laceration of his left eye when he was punched as he was sleeping. 

Police observed the injury and rescue responded and transported him to Rhode Island Hospital.
