Pedestrian Killed in Warwick - Struck by Two Vehicles
The Warwick Police Department said that at approximately 8:14 PM, officers responded to the area of 926 Centerville Rd. along with Warwick rescue for a multiple car collision involving two vehicles and a pedestrian.
According to police, the initial investigation shows that an adult male ran into Centerville Road from an address on the south side of the roadway and into the path of a blue Subaru that had been traveling eastbound.

"A second witness in a car that had been traveling eastbound behind the Chevy Impala immediately stopped in the area of the first witness and activated their hazard lights, preventing any further occurrences."
Fatality and Investigation
The pedestrian was identified as 49-year-old Michael Dembkowski of Warwick, who was pronounced deceased at Rhode Island Hospital at 9:09 PM.
Police say that all involved vehicles remained on the scene and were fully cooperating with the investigation.
At this time, speed and alcohol have been ruled out as contributing factors for the drivers, say police.
