Shortly after 3 AM Thursday morning, police were called to the area of Atwells Avenue and Academy Avenue for a report of a robbery.

The victim, a male in his early 20s, told police he had been delivering food to Woodside Avenue when the robbery took place.

He told police when he approached the house he was jumped by what appeared to be four juvenile males flashing knives; he said the group proceeded to attack him and punch him in the face with closed fists.

The victim said the suspects then entered his vehicle at that point and took items including cash, jewelry, and personal belongings.

The suspects were reportedly wearing face coverings and fled the scene.

Convenience Store Robbed

Police were called to New York Mini Market on Broad Street shortly before 11 PM Wednesday night for a report of a robbery.

The store employee—a man in his 50s—said a male customer came into the store and asked to purchase cigarettes from behind the counter.

The victim told police, when the cash register opened, that the suspect reached into the register for cash, and a struggle ensued.

The suspect reportedly was able to flee with several hundred dollars.

Detectives are reviewing store surveillance footage.
