Police Seeking Man Who Fired Gun in Providence Pawn Shop and Stole Thousands of Dollars of Jewelry

Providence Police are seeking a suspect who they say fired a gun in a pawn shop — and proceeded to steal thousands of dollars in jewelry.

About Incident 

According to police, shortly after 5:30 PM on Tuesday, July 5, a man entered Fall River Pawn Brokers at 29 Elmwood Avenue.

Upon entering the pawn shop, the man reportedly discharged a firearm and stole several thousand dollars worth of jewelry before fleeing the business.

Witnesses at the scene described the subject as approximately 6’0” with an average build. 

He was further described as a light-skinned male with a dark-colored beard and mustache wearing blue jeans, a grey quarter zip sweatshirt, light brown work boots, a Gucci hat, a blue surgical mask and spoke with a Hispanic accent.
