RI State Police Confirm Investigation of Sexual Assault on Block Island

The Rhode Island State Police have confirmed in a letter to GoLocalProv that there is an ongoing investigation into an alleged sexual assault on Block Island.

“The RISP is currently investigating a reported sexual assault that allegedly occurred this past holiday weekend in the Town of New Shoreham.  The RISP investigation is still ongoing and not yet completed,” wrote Adam Sholes, legal counsel to the State Police in a letter to GoLocal.

The alleged assault took place over the holiday weekend.
