About Incident
Police responded to the school shortly after receiving the report of the threat on Thursday morning.
According to a school staffer, a man called the school’s main line and said he wanted to make a donation to the school.
The French American School has approximately 158 students in preschool through grade 8.
The caller said he wanted to “donate an AR-15,” and told the school staffer he knew where the building was located.
Police said that during the call, he said his name was “Ethan Crumbley.”
Crumbley is the suspect in the shooting at Oxford High School in Michigan on November 30, 2021 where four students were killed and seven others were injured.
According to police, the caller hung up, the French American School was placed on lockdown, and law enforcement was called.
Police are currently investigating.
