Police say they met with the victim — a teenage girl — who said she had been walking earlier on Chalkstone Avenue when a man grabbed her and pulled her into a backyard, and assaulted her.

She told police the man physically restrained her before she was able to flee to the Stop & Shop.

The suspect reportedly followed the girl into the store at which point a store manager intervened and ordered him to leave; police were called to the scene.

Police say the suspect is described to be a “Hispanic male in his 20’s, thin build, about 5’5 in height with short hair, who was last seen wearing a Gray North Face hoodie and gray pants.”

Detectives are currently investigating.
