Speaker Shekarchi’s Sister and Brother-in-Law Go All in on Trump for the Holidays
Providence developer Gary Garabedian and his wife Mary Shekarchi have posted a big pro-Trump-themed sign on their front lawn on Blackstone Boulevard on Providence’s East Side.
The couple has displayed a supersized message stating, “Make Thanksgiving Great Again — Donald & Elon.”

Mary Shekarchi Garabedian is the sister of Speaker of the House Joe Shekarchi (D), and Gary is the scion of the real estate Garabedian family.
When asked about the sign, Garabedian said a friend made it, and it cost about $5,000.
And when asked if his wife is a Trump supporter, he said he would "have to ask her."
She did not respond at the time of publication.
Speaker Joe Shekarchi, when reached, said he had no comment.
Update: Garabedian says the sign has now been removed.
