Allen Iverson's Cousin, Kuran, to Play For URI Next Season

Kuran Iverson, the cousin of former NBA star Allen Iverson, will be eligible to play for the URI Rams in 2015-16 after receiving a waiver from the NCAA, according to CBS Sports.

The 6'9" Iverson, transferred to URI in December of 2014 from Memphis. 

Iverson is a former top-30 recruit who averaged 4.6 points and two rebounds in eight games with the Tigers, playing a total of 94 minutes. Iverson's season high came against Oklahoma State where he poured in 13 points, grabbed four rebounds and dished out two assists.

The Rams finished last season with an overall record of 23-10 and 13-5 record in the A-10. URI made it to the second round of the NIT before falling on the road to Stanford.

With some key recruits and transfers coming in as well as a returning veteran lineup, URI is expected to be one of the favorites in the A-10 in 2015-16.
