Brown Football Visits Cornell on Saturday

The Brown Bears football team will seek to snap a four-game losing streak on Saturday afternoon when they travel to New York to take on Cornell.

After winning their season opener against Bryant, the Bears have dropped four straight games including a 62-25 loss to Princeton last week and are 1-4 on the year.

Cornell is 1-4 on the season after beating Colgate last week.

Game time is set for 1:30 p.m.

Brown vs Cornell

Brown and Cornell have met 66 times, dating back to 1895, with the Bears leading the series 37-28-1.

Cornell has won the last two games over the Bears, including a 34-16 decision last year in Providence.

Brown’s last win came in 2016.

Brown Offense

The Bears offense enters the game averaging 24 points and 411 total yards per game.

Brown quarterback EJ Perry leads the Ivy League and ranks seventh in the country in total offense with 328 yards per game and seventh rushing yards per carry.

On the year, Perry has completed 116 of 201 passes for 1,298 yards and ten touchdowns.

Jakob Prall leads Brown receivers with 17 catches for 272 yards and one touchdown, while Scott Boylan has hauled in 15 passes for 199 yards and four touchdowns.

Brown Defense

The Bears defense comes into the game giving up 43 points per game and 357 passing yards per game.

The defense is led by linebacker Michael Hoecht, who ranks fourth in the Ivy League, averaging 1.12 tackles for loss per game.

Elijah Pierre follows up with 4.5 tackles for loss and 2.5 sacks on the season.
