Brown Lacrosse's Molloy Named Tewaaraton Award Finalist

Brown star Dylan Molloy was named a finalist for the Tewaaraton Award, which goes to the best player in college lacrosse. Molloy is one of five finalists for the award. 

The Finalists are: 

  • Connor Cannizzaro, Denver – Jr., Attack
  • Myles Jones, Duke – Sr., Midfield
  • Matt Landis, Notre Dame – Sr., Defense
  • Dylan Molloy, Brown – Jr., Attack
  • Ben Reeves, Yale – Soph., Attack

The ceremony will take place on June 2 in Washington D.C.

Dylan Molloy 

Dylan Molloy leads the nation in total points (114), goals (60), and assists (54) and is Brown's first ever Tewaaraton finalist. 

He led the bears to a school record 15 wins and the Ivy League regular season championship after Brown went 6-0 in conference play. 

Molloy's 114 points so far this season ranks him 4th all-time in NCAA history. 

Molloy won his 2nd consecutive Ivy League Player of the Year award and is the 6th player int he NCAA to post at least 50 goals and 50 assists. 

The Tewaaraton Foundation 

The Tewaaraton Award was first presented  in 2001 after being founded at the University Club of Washington DC. 

The award honors the top male and female college lacrosse player in the United States.

Brown Lacrosse 

The Bears are set to take on Navy in the quarterfinal round of the NCAA Tournament on Saturday, May 21 at 2:30 p.m. 

The game will be played at Brown Stadium.
