#4/5 Brown Lacrosse Knocks Off #1 Yale 14-12

The Brown Bears men's lacrosse team upset #1 Yale 14  to 12 on Saturday afternoon in front of a sold out crowd at Brown's Stevenson-Pincince Field. The win gives Brown possession of first place in the Ivy league. The loss was Yale's first of the year.

Brown's Kylor Bellistri scored his third goal of the game to give the Bears a 13-11 lead with 2:31 to play in the game. 

Yale would get one back on a power play with 1:24 left to go but Brown's Dylan Molloy would seal the game with 15 seconds top play.

The Come Back 

The Bears trailed 10-6 early in the third quarter before scoring 6 straight goals to take a 12-10 lead early in the fourth quarter. 

During that stretch, Brown won every face-off in the third quarter. 

The Bears trailed 9-6 at the half. 

Leading the Way 

Dylan Molloy led the Bears with 5 goals in the game while Kylor Bellistri followed up with three of his own. 

Goaltender Jack Kelly made 11 saves in the game. 

Next up  

Brown returns to action on Tuesday, April 19 when they host Providence. Game time is set for 7 p.m.
