Brown Falls 77-66 to Princeton

The Brown Bears ( 7-17, 2-8 Ivy) fell 77-66 to (18-5, 8-1 Ivy) Princeton on Saturday night in New Jersey. The Bears have lost five straight games.

Tigers Run Away Early

Brown's Cedric Kuakumensah hit a three to bring the Bears within one, 10-9, with 14:49 to go in the first half.

From that point, Princeton went on a 25-8 run to take a 35-17 lead with 3:50 to play in the half. 

The Tigers would lead 42-27 at half time. 

Brown never really threatened in the second half, getting as close as 11, 75-64, but with only 46 seconds left to play in the game. 

The Leaders

Brown was led by Cedric Kuakumensah who poured in 18 points on 8 of 14 shooting from the field and is now 20th on Brown's all-time scoring list. Kuakumensah also grabbed 7 rebounds and blocked two shots. 

With the two blocked shots, Kuakumensah now has 301 blocked shots in his career. 

Obi Okolie followed up with 15 points. 

Next up 

The Bears play their final two home games of the season next weekend and it starts on Friday, February 26 when they host Dartmouth. Tip off is set for 7 p.m.
