Brown Falls to Yale 90-66

Cedric Kuakumensah nets 1,000th point
The Brown Bears men's basketball team (5-11, 0-2 Ivy) fell 90-66 to (11-5, 2-0 Ivy) Yale on Friday night at the Pizzitola Center. Yale sweeps the season series with Brown. 

Brown's Cedric Kuakumensah hit a three to tie the game at 19 with 6:27 left to play in the half. However, from that point Yale would go on a 21-8 run and take a commanding 40-27 lead into the locker room. 

A JR Hobbie three-pointer cut Brown's deficit to ten, 43-33, in the first minute of the second half but the Bears would get no closer.

The Bulldogs would extend their lead to 56-35 and cruise to the victory. 

The Leaders 

Brown was led by Cedric Kuakumensah who netted 13 points on 6 of 15 shooting from the field  while also grabbing 8 rebounds in the game. Kuakumensah recorded his 1,000th career point in the contest. 

Corey Daugherty followed up with 11 points on 3 of 6 shooting from the field and 4 of 6 from the free throw line in 13 minutes of action off the bench. 

Next up 

Brown returns to action on Friday, January 29 when they host Princeton at the Pizzitola Center. Tip off is set for 6 p.m.
