5 Takeaways From Brown's 82-64 Win Over Central Connecticut
Tavon Blackmon
Tavon Blackmon put up a season high 14 points on 6 of 9 shooting from the field in the game, including 2 of 3 from beyond the three-point arc.
Blackmon's previous season high was 13, in the first game of the season.
Corey Daugherty
Corey Daugherty once again gave Brown a spark off the bench, pouring in 10 points on 4 of 13 shooting from the field while also grabbing four rebounds, dishing out four assists and recording two steals.
Daugherty played 26 minutes in the game.
Turnovers
Brown head coach Mike Martin has to be happy as his team only turned the ball over six times in the game, one of the lowest of the season.
Meanwhile, Brown forced 10 turnovers from Central Connecticut, three of which came on steals.
Steven Spieth
A concerning game for Steven Spieth who played only 11 minutes, picked up five fouls in those 11 minutes, attempted only two shots, had no points and had one rebound, one assist, one turnover and two blocked shots.
Spieth has been in double figures in every game except for two (including this one) and the 11 minutes is by far the fewest amount of minutes he has played all season. The foul trouble certainly helped.
Cedric Kuakumensah
Brown senior forward Cedric Kuakumensah recorded four blocked shots in the game, tying the Ivy League record for career blocked shots with 252.
Kuakumensah will have a good chance to claim the record on Saturday when Brown visits Bryant.
Kuakumensah also posted a double-double with 21 points and 16 rebounds in the game. Kuakumensah's points came on 7 of 11 shooting from the field and 6 of 6 from the free throw line.
The double-double is his fourth of the season.
