Brown Falls 79-74 to Penn, Lose 4th Straight

The Brown Bears (7-16, 2-7 Ivy) fell 79-74 to (10-12, 4-4 Ivy) Penn on Friday night in Philadelphia. The Bears have now lost four straight games. 

Brown trailed 69-68 with 2:43 left in the game after Tavon Blackmon went 1 of 2 from the free throw line. 

From that point, Penn went on a 7-0 run to go up 76-68 with 48 seconds left to play after Darnell Foreman hit two free throws.

Brown got within five, 76-71, with 33 seconds left but were unable to get the stops, or the missed free throws that they needed. 

Brown trailed 40-35 at the half and only led for about 20 seconds in the entire game, 7-6, with 18 minutes to play in the first half. 

The Leaders 

Brown was led by Obi Okolie who poured in 23 points on 9 of 13 shooting from the field  while also grabbing 5 rebounds. 

Cedric Kuakumensah followed up with 14 points, 10 rebounds and 2 blocked shots in the game.

Brown returns to action tonight when they visit Princeton. 

Tip off is set for 6 p.m.
