Brown Falls to Harvard 61-52 in Home Finale

The Brown Bears (8-19, 3-9 Ivy) fell 61-52 to the (12-16, 4-9 Ivy) Harvard Crimson on Saturday night at the Pizzitola Center. The game was Brown's final home game of the season.

A Cedric Kuakumensah lay up got Brown within 5, 28-23, in the opening minutes of the half but that is as close as they would get.

Harvard would go on a 16-6 run to take a 44-29 lead with 8:22 to play.

The Bears would fight back to get within 6, 55-47, with 1 minute to play but it was too late. 

1st Half 

Harvard got off to a fast start, opening the game on a 23-9 run before taking a 28-21 lead into the locker room at the half. 

Brown closed the half on a 12-5 run to get within striking distance. 

The Leaders 

Brown was led by Cedric Kuakumensah who poured in 19 points on 7 of 16 shooting from the field and 4 of 6 from the free throw line. Kuakumensah also grabbed 14 rebounds for a double double. 

Tavon Blackmon added 17 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists in the game.

Brown returns to a action on Friday, March 4 when they visit Columbia at 7 p.m.
