Brown Lacrosse Clinches Ivy League Title Outright, Will Host Ivy League Tourney

The #2 Brown Bears men's lacrosse team (13-1, 6-0 Ivy) clinched the Ivy League Championship outright on Wednesday night after defeating Dartmouth 16-3 at Stevenson-Pincince Field. The title is Brown's10th Ivy men's lacrosse title and the first perfect 6-0 Ivy League record since 1994.

Brown's 1973,1985, and 1991 also posted perfect Ivy League records. 

"To go 6-0 in the Ivy League something that we can all feel excited about, but it's really a testament to the men that we have on our team," said Brown coach Lars Tiffany.

By clinching the title outright, Brown will now host the Ivy League Men's lacrosse tournament for the second straight season starting with a semifinal doubleheader on Friday, May 6, and the Championship game on Sunday, May 8. 

"I'm excited about the home field advantage in the Ivy League tournament but its because of the fan support. Our fans have been tremendous this season so we are excited to play in front of them," added Tiffany. 

The Bears are led by Dylan Molloy who leads the country in points and Kylor Bellistri, the countries leading scorer. 

One Regular Season Game Left

The Bears close out the regular season on Saturday, April 30 when they take on Virginia at Fifth Third Bank Stadium in Kennesaw, Georgia as part of the ACC Tournament Weekend. 

"It's a chance for us to play against some of the top athletes in the nation," Tiffany said. 

Face off for the game is set for 7 p.m.
