Bruins Fall in OT

With the game tied at 2 in overtime, Boston’s David Pastrnak was given a penalty for holding and pulling down Ottawa’s Clark MacArthur.

During the power play, it was MacArthur who scored the power play goal to win the game for the Senators 3-2 and end the series. It was the Senators second power play goal of the game.

The Senators advance in the playoffs for the first time since 2013.

Bruins and Senators Trade Goals

The Bruins took a 1-0 lead in the first period on a goal by Drew Stafford.

However, it was all Senators in the second period as Bobby Ryan tied the game on a power play before Kyle Turris gave the Senators a 2-1 lead five minutes later.

Trailing 2-1 in the third, Boston’s Patrice Bergeron tied the game at 2, just two minutes into the third period.

Boston had a power play late in the third period but were unable to convert as the game went to overtime.
