Patriots Place LaFell, Easley and Slater on PUP List

The New England Patriots have placed defensive lineman Dominique Easley and wide receiver Brandon LaFell on the Physically Unable to Perform List (PUP). Easley and LaFell are joined on the list by linebacker Dane Fletcher, linebacker Chris White, defensive lineman Ryan Wendell and special teamer Matt Slater.

Easley was drafted in the first round of the 2014 season and played in 11 games, and started two for the Patriots. Easley was placed on season ending injured reserve with a knee injury in December.

Brandon LaFell

Brandon LaFell is in his second season with the Patriots after posting 74 receptions for 953 yards and seven touchdowns in his first season, averaging 13 yards per catch. 

Matt Flynn to NFI

The Patriots have also placed quarterback Matt Flynn on the non-football injury list (NFI). The Patriots signed Matt Flynn on June 11th for insurance while Tom Brady's status was (and still is) uncertain. 

Any player on the PUP or NFI lists count against the teams 90 man roster and are eligible to begin practice at any time. 

Training Camp

The Patriots are set to begin training camp, along with the rest of the NFL, on Thursday, July 30th while veterans are expected to report on Wednesday, July 29th.
