Residential Properties Ltd. announced that Sales Associate Courtney Flaherty has joined the outstanding team of real estate advisors at our Jamestown office. She grew up outside of Manhattan but has called Jamestown home since 2004 and deeply appreciates its natural beauty and sense of community. With her keen eye for design and detail, as well as patience, organization, and strong communication skills, Courtney brings a unique perspective to real estate.

Tell us about your professional experience up to now.
For the last 20 years, I’ve been working in education, which has given me a lot of practice in listening, problem-solving, and helping people through big decisions. Along the way, I started a home staging and styling business, which became my creative outlet. I love seeing how a space can transform with the right touch. Real estate just feels like the natural next step. It pulls everything I’ve been doing into one path, and I am so excited.
Where are you originally from, and where do you live now?
I grew up in New Jersey, just outside of Manhattan, so I’ve always had one foot in the city and one foot in quieter spaces. Since then, I’ve lived in Beacon Hill in Boston and Vineyard Haven on Martha’s Vineyard before finding my way to Jamestown in 2004. It’s been home ever since, and I can’t imagine leaving.
What do you love about Rhode Island and New England?
What I love about Rhode Island is the mix of small-town charm with big-city access. I’m a saltwater girl, so the coastline is where I feel happiest, but I also love that I can hop in the car and be in Providence, Boston, or even New York when I crave city energy. And in the winter, it’s an easy drive to great skiing. Rhode Island truly has something for everyone.
What made you want to join Residential Properties?
Residential Properties really stood out to me because of their strong reputation here in Rhode Island. They make a significant impact as a brokerage, yet still feel approachable and community-focused, which is something I value. I love that it’s a woman-owned business that really supports and collaborates with its agents. Being part of that culture was a big part of my decision.
What do you enjoy outside of work?
Outside of work, I love spending time with family and friends, going for runs around Jamestown, and learning to play squash. I also enjoy exploring all the local gems Rhode Island has to offer from cozy restaurants to unique little shops. There’s always something new to discover.
What are you most looking forward to in real estate?
I’m excited to combine my background in education and design to really support my clients. For me, it’s about building strong, lasting relationships, and helping people not only find the right home but also see its potential. I’m looking forward to deepening my expertise, staying ahead of market trends, and making the process seamless and personalized. I want my clients to feel supported every step of the way, and my goal is to be the person they know they can call years down the line when they’re ready for their next chapter.
