During this tribute the lights are turned off in the Peterson Center and all participants are invited to walk around the track in silence, while the bags are illuminated so that all can read the names of who have suffered from cancer.
In addition to these activities there are other forms of donation that take place. Two of the more lively activities are the head-shaving and cream pie events. In these events participants can either volunteer to shave their head to raise money or participants can donate money in order to pie their friends in the face.
The Relay for Life event is a great community cause that is helping to remember, raise awareness, and help to find a cure.
If you wish to participate in this event registration is $20.
