Attempted Bank Robbery at Citizens Bank on Academy Ave - Providence Police Investigating
Providence police are investigating an attempted bank robbery that took place on Tuesday afternoon in the city.
About Incident
Shortly before 2 P.M. on Tuesday, Providence Police were dispatched to Citizens Bank at 270 Academy Avenue for a call of a bank robbery.

The subject was described as approximately 5'10" in height, wearing neon yellow gloves, black head skully, black bandana mask, black jacket, black pants and white sneakers.
Police state that the subject handed the bank teller a note, who told police that when she went to the safe to open it, the subject fled.
The note stated that the suspect had a weapon, however, no weapon was seen nor displayed to the bank tellers, say police.
The subject fled on foot in the direction of Atwells Avenue.
Police are currently investigating.
