UPDATED: Brawl at Club on Federal Hill: Multiple Victims, Security Guard Arrested

Multiple people were injured in a brawl at a club on Federal Hill in Providence overnight.

A fight broke out inside the establishment before security got involved - and a security guard was arrested. 

On Sunday morning, the Board of Licences suspended the club license and invoked a 72-hour closure,

About Incident 

Shortly after 1 AM on Sunday, all District 4 Providence Police vehicles responded to Afrique D'Lounge on Spruce Street for a report of a stabbing. 

When they arrived, police said they encountered a victim with blood on his face, who was taken by rescue to Rhode Island Hospital for treatment.

Police said they encountered another victim with a wound to his hand. 

Witnesses told officers that a fight broke out inside the club, during which one of the victims began throwing bottles. 

During the altercation, another security guard - later identified as Qasim Flynn - reportedly pulled out a pocket knife and struck the victim who was taken to the hospital; a female security guard was also struck and injured. 

Flynn was reportedly injured in the fight as well. 

According to police, a pocket knife was removed from Flynn, who was arrested and taken to Central Station for processing.

Flynn was also treated for minor injuries.
