East Providence's Director of Administration Is Out

Napoleon Gonsalves, the Director of Administration in the City of East Providence since 2020, is out.

 

He served under sitting Mayor Bob DaSilva.

Gonsalves, before taking over the Department of Administration, served 26 years as a Pawtucket Police officer.

 

The resignation by Gonsalves was not publicly announced by the city.

 

Patricia Resende, spokesperson for DaSilva, said Gonsalves resigned "for personal reasons" and to "spend more time with his family."
