EXCLUSIVE VIDEO: Incident Turns Violent as Driver Tries to Run Down Men, Crashes Near Kennedy Plaza

GoLocal has exclusively secured video that shows the driver of a car and multiple men having a conversation outside of the 7-Eleven on the corner of Dorrance Street and Kennedy Plaza in downtown Providence.

The incident soon turned violent and chaotic early on Tuesday morning.

 

The video’s timestamp begins at just after 2:02 AM.

 

The driver peels away, turns around at Kennedy Plaza, and then drives on the city sidewalk, crashing into the building.

The car bounces off the building, missing the men and then smashing over the signal box that controls the traffic lights in front of Providence City Hall.

 

The car then races away, turning left on Dorrance Street.

 

Providence Police can be seen arriving on-site at 2:06 AM.

 

This is just the latest in violence and crime at Kennedy Plaza.
