The National Weather Service forecasts a mix starting as rain and then turning to snow.
Governor Dan McKee has rebuffed complaints by commuters of the impact of the closure of Washington Bridge. McKee has repeatedly stated that RIDOT Washington Bridge failure has only added 10 to 15 minutes to the commute.
Sunday
Rain, possibly mixed with snow, becomes all rain after 4 pm, high near 37. Light east wind becoming northeast at 6 to 11 mph in the morning. Winds could gust as high as 23 mph. The chance of precipitation is 100%. Total daytime snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.
Tonight
Rain before 3 am, then rain, possibly mixed with snow. Low around 32. Northeast wind 13 to 17 mph, with gusts as high as 29 mph. The chance of precipitation is 100%. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch is possible.
Monday
Snow is likely, mainly before 10 am. Cloudy, with a high near 36. North wind 14 to 17 mph. The chance of precipitation is 60%. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch is possible.
Monday Night
A chance of snow before 8 pm, then a slight chance of snow showers between 8 pm and 3 am. Mostly cloudy, with a low of around 20. North wind 10 to 14 mph. The chance of precipitation is 30%. Little or no snow accumulation is expected.
