The latest tracking shows that Hurricane Lee, a category 3, has moved its path and now has a potentially huge impact on Rhode Island this weekend.

CNN’s Derrick Van Dam predicts the storm will impact New England this weekend and calls the hurricane a “monster wave machine.”

On Wednesday morning at 5 AM, the National Weather Service issued the following, “There is an increasing risk of wind, coastal flooding, and rain impacts from Lee in portions of New England and Atlantic Canada beginning on Friday and continuing through the weekend. Watches may be required for portions of these areas later today or tonight.”
