Providence's Broken-Down Recreation Centers

The Pawtucket Red Sox owners proposed not paying city property taxes for a new $85 million stadium in Providence for thirty years, a proposal that was flat out rejected by Rhode Island Governor Gina Raimondo in April. 

Together, the combined wealth of the PawSox ownership group is in the billions.  

Meanwhile, the City of Providence's nine recreation centers are crumbling.  Here's a look at some of the inadequate facilities Providence's youth face at city funded recreation centers, as the city considers special tax treatment of the PawSox ownership group.
