1. What do you think is the biggest political issue this campaign season in Rhode Island?
I think the biggest political issue in this campaign has been staying focused on the issues that are affecting all of us, and working together to get things done for the people. Put politics aside and come up with solutions, Common ground, I love Rhode Island and plan on working for the people. It's not about being a Democrat or Republican it's what are you going to bring to the table. Unity, Problem solver.
2. What do we need to do to improve Rhode Island's economy?
Keep jobs here in Rhode Island, create jobs that are going to pay good and good benefits. Programs that help small businesses. Making affordable housing for everyone it should be a right, not a privilege. Bring manufacturing back. Infrastructure.
3. What is the greatest challenge facing Rhode Island as a state?
Affordable Housing -rents and homes people can afford to live in. Education, we need to invest in our schools and teachers' making our schools safe for every child. Climate change, we need to act today not tomorrow if we don't, what are we going to have left for our future generations. We need more programs
for green energy, it will create more jobs.
4. Why are you running for office? What makes you uniquely qualified?
I am running because I am a person who gets things done. I am a fighter. I believe in the quality of life. I believe in our communities; I love our state. What makes me uniquely qualified is that I can think outside the box. fresh new ideas. See things in a different perspective. Help give a powerful voice to our communities and families.
5. Who is your inspiration?
My parents are my inspiration. They would tell me if you are really passionate about something and really believe never give up, work hard for what you want it will have more meaning to you, and my grandchildren who bring so much joy to me. I always explain to them how important it is to stay in school. And to the people of Rhode Island whom I have made so many friends.
Wastewater Management Board 1992–1999 (Brought in programs to educate and help the public) Chair: Glocester Community Resource Commission 1999–2017 (Worked on Solar, Hydro, Wind Projects for the Town –(Green Energy) Lighting Fair, submitted a bill to the house regarding Hydro permits and it passed. Received grant money to do feasibility study. Community Garden over 3000 lbs of vegetables delivered to Glocester Food Bank. Brought in programs at the Senior center to educate and help the public. Charter Review Commission -2012 Volunteer Appreciation Awards: From the State of Rhode Island and the Town of Glocester for Community Work 2013. Chair: Glocester Town Committee.
