Bryant Football Escapes With 56-55 Win Over Howard

The Bryant Bulldogs played Howard for the first time ever and escaped with a 56-55 win on Saturday afternoon.

The win gives the Bulldogs a record of 6-5 and their second straight winning season.

With the game tied at 49 with 4:29 to play, Bryant’s Jean Constant returned a Howard kick-off 89 yards for a touchdown to give the Bulldogs a 56-49 lead.

The return score was Constant’s third of the season. It was the Bulldogs’ second kick return score of the game.

On Howard’s next possession, Dedrick Parson ran it in from five-yards out to make the score 56-55.

Howard then attempted to go for the two-point conversion, instead of kicking the extra point, but the play was stopped by senior Thomas Costigan at the one-yard line.

On Howard’s ensuing onside kick, Costigan made the recovery to give Bryant the win.

Price Wilson completed 21 of 42 passes for 284 yards with one touchdown and one interception.

Running back Dan Adeboboye ran for 90 yards on 12 carries and two touchdowns.
