Bryant Football Set to Face Howard for 1st Time Ever

The Bryant Bulldogs football team will look to snap a three-game losing streak when they visit Howard in the season finale on Saturday afternoon.

The Bulldogs head into the game with a record of 5-5 overall and need a win to clinch their second straight winning season.

Howard enters the game with a 4-5 overall record and 4-3 in the MEAC.

Bryant vs Howard

Saturday’s game will be first-ever meeting between the two programs.

The Bulldogs will also be facing a member of the MEAC for the first time in program history.

Bryant Offense

Last week, sophomore quarterback  Broghean McGovern made his second career start and became the first quarterback in school history to score three touchdowns in a game.

He rushed for two and also caught a touchdown.

McGovern has completed 18 of 35 passes for 201 yards and two interceptions on the year.

Senior wide receiver Vincent Nisivoccia has hauled in a team-high 47 passes for 663 yards and six touchdowns to lead Bryant.

Jean Constant has hauled 37 passes for 422 yards and six touchdowns on the season.

The Bulldogs ground game is led by Brenden Femiano, who has rushed for 677 yards and four touchdowns on 134 carries.

Bryant Defense

The Bulldogs defense comes into the game giving up an average of 39 points and 430 total yards per game on the season.

Thomas Costigan enters his final game as a Bulldog with 274 career tackles and 98 tackles this season.

He needs two tackles to become the first player in program history to post back-to-back 100-tackle seasons. With 10 tackles, Costigan would tie the single-season record. 

Tomas Wright needs just one sack to become the single-season record holder.
