Bryant Football Begins 3-Game Road Trip at Fordham on Saturday

Bryant Football visits Fordham on Saturday
The Bryant Bulldogs football team takes a trip to Fordham on Saturday looking to bounce back from last week’s 48-14 loss to Central Connecticut.

"We played an extremely poor second half against a very good football team. They played very well. It was disappointing because I thought the kids played hard,” said Bryant head coach James Perry after the game.

Saturday's game will mark the start of a three-game road trip for Bryant.

Bryant vs Fordham

The Bulldogs and Rams will meet for the fourth time in program history on Saturday, with Bryant leading the all-time series 2-1.

Last season, the Bulldogs beat Fordham 45-40 behind 393 passing yards from quarterback Price Wilson.

Bryant Offense

The Bryant offense had their lowest offensive output of the season last week against Central Connecticut, putting up just 14 points in the game.

All 14 of their points came in the first quarter.

Wilson leads the Bulldogs offense with 15 touchdown passes and 1,613 passing yards in six games on the season.

Senior Vincent Nisivoccia and redshirt junior Jean Constant are one and two in receiving for the Bulldogs, posting 358 and 320 yards, respectively.

They have also combined for nine touchdown catches.

Bryant Defense

Last week, the Bryant defense gave up 667 yards of total offense, including 442 rushing yards in a loss to Central Connecticut.

However, they enter Saturday’s game with a defensive touchdown in each of their previous two contests.

The Bulldogs defense is led by junior Tomas Wright, who ranks second and third nationally in sacks per game and tackles for a loss per game.

Thomas Costigan leads Bryant with 57 tackles on the season and is averaging 9.5 tackles per game.
