Bryant Beats Sacred Heart 91-85 in Double OT Thriller

Joe O'Shea knocked down a desperation three-pointer with 0.3 seconds left in the game to tie it at 63 and send it into overtime.

Bryant outscored Sacred Heart 14-8 in the second overtime and went on to clinch their first birth in the NEC semifinal, beating Sacred Heart 91-85.
Bryant was led by Joe O'Shea, who netted 23 points, while Dyami Starks followed up with 22 points to get Bryant the win.
Sacred Heart was led by Cane Broome, who poured in 23 points to lead the Pioneers in the loss.
The Bulldogs return to action on Saturday, March 7 when they visit Robert Morris for the NEC semifinal. Tip-off is set for noon time.

Five Takeaways From Bryant's 91-85 Win Over Sacred Heart
Bosko Kostur
Bosko Kostur had a good game for Bryant, netting 12 points on 3-of-7 shooting from the field and 4-of-4 from the free throw line.
Kostur also pulled down nine rebounds and had two steals in 34 minutes of play for Bryant.
Kostur has reached double figures in three of the last four games for Bryant.
Dyami Starks
Have to feel good for senior Dyami Starks who has led Bryant all season and has suffered through some of the heartbreaking losses of recent years. Starks finally sees a post season win.
In the game, Dyami Starks poured in 22 points but only shot 8-of-25 from the field, including 3-of-11 from three point land.
Starks also grabbed three rebounds, dished out one assist and had one block in the game.
Second chance points
Dan Garvin led Bryant with nine rebounds in the game, five of which came on the offensive end.
Bryant won the rebounding battle 45-38 and pulled down an incredible 20 offensive rebounds.
Off those 20 rebounds, Bryant cashed them in for 22 second chance points while Sacred Heart only managed nine points on 13 offensive rebounds.
The shot
Trailing 63-60 Bryant's Joe O'Shea knocked down a desperation three pointer that found it's way into the net and saved Bryant's season.
Without question, O'Shea's three-pointer will go down as one of, if not the biggest shot in program history no matter what happens on Saturday but especially if they win again.
O'Shea poured in 23 points in the game on 5-of-11 shooting from the field to lead Bryant. However, that three-pointer will be the only shot anyone will remember.
Over the hump
The Bryant Bulldogs defeated the Sacred Heart Pioneers in double overtime 91-85 to advance to the NEC semifinal against Robert Morris on Saturday, March 7.
The win is Bryant's first division 1 postseason win in program history.
Over the last couple of years the Bulldogs have been a successful program and one of the great sports stories in RI. Bryant has gotten themselves into post season games, hosted a couple of them, but have not been able to come away with wins.
This win now erases all of that as Bryan is over the hump and into the semifinals.
