The Bears held a 13-8 lead with 13 minutes to go in the first half and then proceeded to go on a 23-4 run to break the game open. The Bears led 36-12 with three minutes to go in the first half and then cruised to a victory in the second half.

Steven Spieth and J.R. Hobbie both followed up with 12 points for the Bears.
David Johnson led Lyndon State with 18 points
Next up, Brown hosts Yale on Saturday at 2 p.m. at the PIzzitola Center as Ivy league play begins.

5 Takeaways From Brown's 88-42 Win Over Lyndon State
Kuakumensah
Cedric Kuakumensah did not play in the game against Lyndon State but is expected to be ready for conference play on Saturday.
Kuakumensah is Brown's defensive leader and will be vital to any success the Bears have in conference play.
King and Maia did a great job filling in for Kuakumensah in Monday nights game, if they can duplicated that to when Kuakumensah is in the lineup, Brown's front line will be tough to stop.
J.R. Hobbie
In Kuakumensah's absence, J.R. Hobbie got the start and was productive.
Hobbie netted 12 points on 4-of-10 shooting from the field. All four shots that he hit were from three-point range. Hobbie also had three rebounds in the game.
Once Kuakumensah returns, Hobbie will go back to the bench and it would be a giant boost if he is able to put up similar numbers off the bench for the Bears come conference play.
Rafael Maia
Rafael Maia fell just short of a double-double against Lyndon State, posting 9 points and 12 rebounds. Maia also added two assists and three blocked shots in the win for the Bears.
With conference play approaching, it will be vital for the Bears bigs to show up, game in and game out if the Bears want to have success in the conference.
Leland King
Leland King missed Brown's last game against New Hampshire with an injury but returned against Lyndon State and was terrific.
King had a double-double with 19 points, on 7-of-8 shooting from the field, and 16 rebounds in the game, he also dished out six assists, had two steals and two blocks.
Great sign for Brown that King is healthy and ready to go as conference play is about to begin for the Bears.
Cake Walk
Brown defeated Lyndon State 88-42 and got their record tying ninth win in the non-conference schedule. It was a good confidence boosting win for the Bears after a disappointing loss to New Hampshire in the previous game and maybe they ride some momentum into conference play.
However, Lyndon State was way overmatched in the game and was never really a threat to win barring some horrific collapse by the Bears.
Brown will face a much, much greater challenge when they host Yale on Saturday.
