NEW: URI Loses 70-67 Heartbreaker to Nebraska

Jared Terrell's last second three just misses as URI falls to Nebraska
The URI Rams (6-4) fell 70- 67 to the (7-4) Nebraska Cornhuskers on Sunday afternoon in Nebraska. The game marked URI's first true road game of the season.

URI led 65-64 with 1:31 left to play in the game before Nebraska's Benny Parker buried a three-pointer to put the Cornhuskers up 67-65. 

After a For McGlynn turnover, Nebraska would extend their lead to 69-67 on a Glynn Watson  jr. jumper.

Rams would get within two after a Jarvis Garrett jumper with just seconds left but Nebraska would hit one free throw and dodge a Jared Terrell three-point attempt to hold onto the win. 

The Rams were up by as much as 11 in the first half and led 37-32 at half time. Nebraska outscored URI 38-30 in the second half. 

The Leaders 

Kuran Iverson and Jarvis Garrett led URI with 15 points each while Jared Terrell and four McGlynn followed up with eight. 

Next up 

URI returns to action on Saturday, December 19th when they host Iona at the Ryan Center. Tip off is set for 7 p.m.
