PC Basketball Gets Committment from North Florida Transfer Horchler

Noah Horchler will sit out one year
The Providence College men’s basketball team received a verbal commitment from North Florida transfer Noah Horchler on Tuesday night.

Horchler, a 6”8’ forward, will sit out one season and have one year of eligibility remaining.

Horchler visited Providence earlier this month before verbally committing.

He also drew interest from Hawaii, Arizona, Clemson, Oregon State, and Purdue.

About Horchler

This past season at North Florida, Horchler averaged 16 points and 9.3 rebounds per game to lead the Osprey.

He shot 55 % from the field and almost 35% from three.

The Stadium’s Jeff Goodman ranks Horchler as the 19th best transfer in college basketball this offseason.

Providence transfer Makai Ashton-Langford is ranked 39th on the list.

Coming and Going at PC

So far, the Friars are set to return Nate Watson, Kris Monroe, David Duke, Maliek White, Jimmy Nichols, AJ Reeves, and Kalif Young next season.

Alpha Diallo currently is set to enter the NBA Draft, but could also return if he pulls his name out by May 29.

PC will also add freshman Greg Gantt, and UMass transfer Luwane Pipkins to next season’s roster.

The Friars are losing Ashton-Langford to transfer, Drew Edwards to graduation and Isaiah Jackson to graduation.
