Nichols announced the decision on WPDE-15, the local ABC affiliate in Myrtle Beach on Tuesday night.

He chose Providence over Miami and South Carolina.

About Nichols, Scout.com writes "Nichols brings a lot of versatility to the court. He is very comfortable as a stretch power forward, but also he might be able to spend time as a pure wing. Nichols can really shoot the ball from deep, and especially good when shooting off the catch. Also, he is a solid athlete who can score on straight line drives to the rim and brings defensive versatility."

Nichols is the third commit to PC’s 2018 recruiting class along with AJ Reeves and Kris Monroe.

About Nichols

Nichols is a left-handed forward who measures at 6’7," 200 pounds.
