PC Basketball - Two Things to Watch

For the Friars to have success this season, they will need Rodney Bullock to score and against Ohio State, he was able to do so, netting 27 points on 8 of 20 shooting from the field and 5 of 9 from beyond the arc.

"I'm really proud of Rodney. He's come a long, long way. He's a focal point guy for us," said Providence head coach Ed Cooley following the Ohio State game.

Bullock is off to a good start this season for the Friars, scoring 18 points in the season opener and 27 in their last game. PC needs him to keep it going all season.

The Freshmen

A second thing to watch for in PC's game against Grambling State is the play of there three freshmen, Maliek White, Alpha Diallo and Kalif Young.

After having some success in the season opener against Vermont, they played very little in the game against Ohio State.

Young played the most of the freshmen, totaling 13 minutes, all in the first half, and grabbing five rebounds in that time.

White played nine minutes, eight of which were in the first half, and had one assist and one rebound, while Diallo only played five minutes, grabbing one rebound and recording one assist.

Back at home, expect them to play more and with more confidence.

Emerald Coast Classic

The Emerald Coast Classic is four game tournament that will see PC host Grambling on Saturday and St. Francis Brooklyn on Monday, November 21 before traveling to Destin, Florida where they will play Memphis on November 25 and either Iowa or Virginia on the 26.
