In the Coaches Poll, the Friars dropped from 20 to 24, one spot ahead of Texas and behind Dayton and Utah at 22 and 23 respectively.

Providence is one of three Big East teams in the coaches poll with Villanova still holding the number one spot and Xavier climbing to the 5th spot.

The Friars are no longer in the AP Poll, but their 12 week run saw them get as high as 8th in the country on January 5.
