PC Basketball Releases 2015-16 Non-Conference Schedule

The Providence College Friars men's basketball program has announced their non conference schedule for the 2015-16 season.

The Schedule

The Friars will open the season with four straight home games with the season opener taking place on Saturday, November 14 against Ivy League power Harvard.

Providence will then host Illinois as part of the Gavitt tip-off tournament on Wednesday, November 18.

PC will then host Brown and NJIT on the 21st and 23rd of November before heading to the west coast to play in the Wooden Legacy tournament in Anaheim, California.

Providence will not play a true road game until Saturday, December 5 when they visit Rhode Island a the Ryan Center. The Friars have beaten the Rams five straight seasons and six of the last seven.

PC will host Hartford, Boston College and Rider before closing out the non-conference schedule on the road against UMass on December 21st.

Last Season

Last season, the Friars went 22-12 overall and 11-7 in conference play and got to their second straight NCAA Tournament before losing to Dayton in the first round.

Led by returning point guard Kris Dunn, the Friars will look to get to the tournament for a third straight season and win a tournament game for the first time in 18 years.
