PC Basketball Gets Verbal Commitment From 4-Star Center Dajour Dickens

The Providence College Friars men's basketball team have received a verbal commitment from 6'10" center Dajour Dickens for the freshman class of 2017. Dickens is rated as a 4-star recruit by both Rivals and ESPN.

"I've decided to attend Providence College! My family and I have chosen the right fit and people! From this point on, I'll be answering no request about recruiting as I'm putting my focus on the rest of this academic year and looking forward to a great developing summer and senior year," Dickens said via his twitter account.

Dickens is from Hampton, Virginia and attended and played for Bethel High School, while also playing for the AAU team, Boo Williams.

Dickens is the first commitment in the 2017 class for Providence, while for star guard Maliek White is the only signed recruit in the 2016 class for the Friars.

Dickens also had offers from UCF, Clemson, Virginia, Old Dominion, Temple, Memphis, Delaware State, Creighton and Virginia Tech.
