Tyree Chambers is 2nd Player to Leave PC Basketball in a Week

Providence College sophomore Tyree Chambers is leaving the program, according to Verbal Commits. Chambers is the second player to leave the program in a week and the third player to leave in this offseason. 

3 Players Gone, at Least 1 More Departure Possible

Earlier this week, Quadree Smith announced he was leaving the program and just a few weeks prior to that it was announced that Junior Lomomba was leaving the program.

PC is still waiting on a decision from sophomore Ben Bentil on whether to return to the Friars or go to the NBA. 

For Bentil, the NBA combine is set to take place from May 11-15 in Chicago with the early entry date set for May 25. 

Bentil will need to make a decision by the 25th. 

On the positive side, Providence has two scholarships available to offer recruits. 

Players Coming in 

The latest recruit, Alpha Diallo joins guard Maliek White and junior college transfer Emmitt Holt as part of the Friars incoming recruiting class for the 2016-17 season. 

PC also has Isaiah Jackson, a transfer from George Mason eligible to play next season after he sat out this past season. 

 PC has been linked to forward Kalif Young who reportedly is deciding between Marquette and Providence, according to SNY. 

Chambers with Providence 

In 2015-16, Chambers averaged 0.2 points, 0.3 rebounds and 0.4 assists per game while playing an average of 2.4 minutes per game. Chambers played only 24 minutes the entire season. 

In 2014-15, Chambers missed the first ten games due to a leg injury and upon his return only played 5 minutes the entire season.
