NEW: Former PC Basketball Star Dunn Traded to Chicago

Former Providence College star Kris Dunn has been traded to the Chicago Bulls. 

Dunn was traded from the Minnesota Timberwolves with Zach LaVine and the seventh pick in the NBA Draft to the Bulls for Jimmy Butler.

Dunn averaged 3.8 points and 2.4 assists in his first season with the Timberwolves where he played behind Ricky Rubio.

He averaged 17 minutes per game. 

Dunn was drafted fifth overall by the Timberwolves in the 2016 NBA Draft.

At Providence, Dunn averaged 16.4 points, 6.2 assists and 5.3 rebounds per game, leading the Friars to the second round of the NCAA Tournament as a redshirt junior.

Dunn has been named the Big East Player of the Year and the Defensive Player of the Year in each of the past two seasons.

The Friars went 23-10 overall this season, and 10-8 in the Big East, making the tournament for the third straight season.
