NEW: PC's Dunn Ranked 2nd Best Player in Country

Providence College guard Kris Dunn has been ranked as the second best player in the country by Fox Sports, behind only Fred VanVleet of Wichita State.

Dunn surprised most experts and fans this off season when he decided to return to PC as opposed to going to the NBA.

Says Fox Sports "But he did come back, and on his shoulders alone Providence ought to be an NCAA tournament team."

More National Attention

Just a couple of weeks ago, Dunn was ranked as the number one player in the country by CBS Sports and then was voted the Big East pre-season player of the year at Big East Media day in New York.

Kris Dunn averaged 15.6 points, 7.5 assists and 5.5 rebounds as well as 2.7 steals last season for the Friars including multiple triple-doubles.

The Friars begin their season on Saturday, November 14th when they host Harvard at the Dunkin' Donuts Center. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m.
