PC Hockey's Tanev Signs 1-Year Deal With NHL's Winnipeg Jets

Former PC hockey player Brandon Tanev has signed a one year, two way contract with the NHL's Winnipeg Jets. The contract is worth $874,125 in the NHL. 

Tanev, 24, signed with the Jets following the conclusion of PC's 2015-16 season in March. He played in three games last season with Winnipeg but did not record a point.

While at Providence, Tanev scored the national championship winning goal in 2015 against against Boston University. 

In 2015-16, Tanev tallied 28 points, scoring 15 goals and recording 13 assists in 38 games, helping PC get back to the NCAA Tournament. 

For his career, Tanev recorded 77 points on 35 goals and 42 assists in 149 games. 

Tanev came to Providence after a stint in junior hockey with the Surrey Eagles.
