NEW: PC Hockey Gets Upset by Minnesota-Duluth 2-1 in 2 OT

The PC men's hockey team fell 2-1 in double overtime to Minnesota-Duluth on Friday night in the first round of the NCAA Tournament at the DCU Center in Worcester. The Friars will not repeat as national champions. 

Just 57 seconds into the second overtime Minnesota-Duluth's Karson Kuhlman picked up a rebound in front of the net and tapped it in to give the Bulldogs a walk off win.

PC's Steve McParland tied the game at one for Providence.The goal was McParland's 4th of the season and his second career goal in the NCAA Tournament. 

Neither team would score in the finall 9 minutes sending the game to over time. 

The Friars trailed 1-0 after Minnesota-Duluth's Tony Cameranesit scored with 16:42 to play in the game. 

Minnesota-Duluth will now take on the winner of the game between Boston College and Harvard. 

Providence goaltender Nick Ellis made an NCAA Regional record 53 saves in the game on 55 shots. 

2nd Game 

In the second game, which was severely delayed due to the double OT in the Providence game, sway Boston College roll Harvard 4-1. 

The Eagles scored two goals in the first period to take control of the game with Austin Cangelosi's goal proving to be the game winner. 

The Northeast Regional Final is set for 9 p.m. tonight.
